The thirst at T-Bell was real last night. Woke up with so much Mountain Dew’s Sangrita lingering in my beard.
Huge thanks to my dude @stevencounts for capturing the essence of my trip to #Bangkok. As a photographer, you typically aren’t in a position to have your photo taken. That is, until you meet another photographer. Check out more of his amazing work at www.StevenCounts.com #muaythaixcounts 📷👊💥
I received the best training the world offers when it comes to Muay Thai. An experience I’ll never forget. These trainers eat, sleep and bathe at the gym. Their lives are dedicated to the sport. It’s a lifestyle. Muay Thai is life. At this gym alone, I made friends, who, like their city, touched my soul 🙏 I ❤️ you Bangkok. Until we meet again. (at Muay Thai Plaza 2004)
One of the many means of travel here in Bangkok, the sketchy scooter! On my way to Muay Thai Plaza 2004 for today’s workout 👊💥 (at Muay Thai Plaza 2004)
Pepperoni pizza for me, ham and sausage for my dude @zeeh23. Bangkok, Thailand. Don’t judge me, I’ve got curry and noodles coming out my ears at this point! Super thin crust and so tasty! 🍕 (at บ่อนไก่)
Bangkok Boy. On my way to the gym earlier today after picking up some hand wraps for this afternoons training session. It was an enjoyably hot one! 🌞 On a sketchier note, apparently, two grenades were detonated not too far from my hotel today at a protest rally site 💣😳 #SouthEastAsianSelfie #HumidHair (at บ่อนไก่)
I was fortunate to have had the pleasure of sitting on the ring at the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium here in Bangkok, Thailand the other night. Lumpinee Stadium is the most famous Muay Thai stadium in the world. It opened its doors in 1956 and will close forever this Saturday to make way for the opening of the new Lumpinee Stadium. This fighter had his kick caught, base leg swept and KO’d with a kick to the jaw before he hit the mat. He was stretchered off which sent the crowd into a frenzy! The view from the hotel rooftop pool earlier this afternoon. I’ve wanted to see a landscape like this ever since I was a little kid. It’s beautiful how there’s so much to look at. From high rises, to shanties, to lush trees. Though I must say, Bangkok’s smog puts LA’s to shame. Woke up this morning at 530am to catch a 630am Super Bowl kick off. Was nine beers deep by 10am. Followed by some amazing food and an incredible $6.07 one hour massage. Today, was a great day.
